Curious About KETO? There’s A Class Coming Up

The basic idea with KETO is to convert your body to using good fat as a fuel, instead of glucose.  The benefits of burning fat are many, including improved cognition, relief from sugar (and other substance) cravings, and burning up fat stores.  It takes a little experimentation, a little commitment, and a willingness to find out whether this is the best diet for you.  Many people have found that KETO really works well for them.  I personally have “tweaked” the high meat and cheese version of KETO to a more vegetarian method, with fish and eggs for protein, instead of mammalian food choices.  You will need to invest in a glucometer/ketometer combo instrument as well as some lancets and be willing to check your blood for sugar and ketone levels at least once daily for a few weeks until you get the hang of how to eat, and what it feels like (really great!) to be in nutritional ketosis.  This is NOT diabetic keto-acidosis, which is a unintentional consequence of uncontrolled diabetes.  Nutritional ketosis is a health promoting state which has been used for over 100 years to support and reverse neurological diseases, most famously epilepsy.  I like to keep my classes small so let me know via return email ASAP if you are interested.  Cost: $100 for 6 hours of class time, plus about $120 for the tools at
